Nominator's project description
| Professor Karniadakis is an internationally leading scientist in fluid mechanics, applied mathematics and high performance computing. He provided significant contributions on modeling and physics of turbulent, biological, micro- and nano-scale flows, algorithms for uncertainty quantification, coarse-graining of soft materials and fractional PDE. In Germany, he intends to work on multi-scaling and multi-physical problems with a focus on the design of fluid materials. |
